Bulgaria is situated in Southeast Europe
on the eastern part of the Balkan
Peninsula, on the Black Sea coast.
It is bordered by Turkey, Greece, Romania,
Macedonia, and Serbia.
St Vlas (Sveti Vlas) is a village just a few
kilometers from the lively resort of Sunny
Beach, and close to the World Heritage
site of Nessebar. It has developed into a
modern beach destination during recent
years, with brand new hotels and a new
classy Marina. The beaches are clean, safe
and not overcrowded. The village has
plenty of shops, bars and restaurants.
The Marina has upmarket restaurants
a dance bar, and boutiques.
Sunny Beach is the largest resort on the Black Sea
Coast. It has 8km of beautiful sandy beach, with
clean water, calm sea and no tides.
It is a busy lively resort with something for
everyone whether its a gentle stroll down the
promenade browsing in the many stalls as you go,
or for the more adventurous, be catapulted into
the air, or test your strength on the bucking
bronco. You will find plenty of bars, restaurants
and night clubs and there are a couple of Aqua
parks to choose from.
Old Nessebar has been designated by UNESCO
as a World Heritage site. Today it is a popular
tourist attraction for its centuries old typical
Bulgarian houses, for its beautiful taverns with
lovely views, for its shopping, down narrow
cobbled streets. It is a place to go for culture
and character.
